"Love Notes" - Stitch Art Note Cards
I am totally in love with creating Stitch Art for my shop and wanted to do something to incorporate it. So, I decided to create a set of note cards using Stitch Art.

Sunshine In My Soul
I have been addicted to making Etsy treasuries. This is my latest. I wanted to put together a treasury full of sunshiny brightness and happiness to combat those gloomy days of winter where grey skies are so prevalent where I live.

Butter Tart Slice
My son's class had a "Christmas Tea" where they had a nativity performance. The performance was so enjoyable. My son got to play one of the wisemen. His teacher asked him if he wanted to play Joseph, but he said, "No, I want to be a wiseman". He told me later that he wanted to be a wiseman because he wanted to wear a crown. LOL! :)
I made Butter Tart Slices to bring to the Christmas Tea. I love this recipe from The Best of Bridge cookbook. So good, yet so simple to make. I made a 9x13 inch pan and came home with an empty dish! :)
Butter Tart Slice
The Crust:
2 cups flour
1/4 cup white sugar
1 cup butter
pinch salt
The Filling:
3 eggs beaten
2 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 Tbsp. baking powder
pinch salt
3/4 cup coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup raisins
3 tsps flour
To make crust, combine first four ingredients and press into a 9"x13" pan.
To make filling, melt butter, add eggs and remaining ingredients. Pour over crust. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Cut when hot.

Ready and Waiting...
I just completed sewing these sweethearts. They are now patiently waiting to be shipped to their loving homes. ♥ They are a little sad to be leaving, but they are all SO excited to be embarking on this new and fun journey. It will be their first plane ride ever. :)

Stitch Art - Hand Stitched With Love
Introducing my new line of Stitch Art!
Stitch Art would look absolutely lovely perched on a bookshelf or sitting on top of a desk or table. It would also look beautiful hanging with other works of art on the wall.
Stitch Art can take hours to create because each design is hand pierced onto cold pressed watercolor paper and then each stitch is meticulously created by hand with love.
I love the effects of stitching on paper. I cannot wait to design some more!

Coming Soon - A Sneak Peek!
Here is a sneak peek at what is coming soon in store at mateo & tobias. It's quite labour intensive, but so rewarding for me to do. I just love it! Any guesses as to what it might be?
